About Our Church
We are a community dedicated to living out the teachings of Christ. We gather to worship, learn, and support one another in our faith. Join us as we uphold the truth of God's Word in all aspects of life.
Our Core Beliefs
At Barlow Vincent Church of Christ, we hold firm to the following truths:
- We believe the Scriptures are the final authority for our lives.
- We affirm the nature of sin and the redemptive power of Jesus.
- Salvation is a gift of grace received by faith.
The Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures are without error and inspire our faith (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Nature of Sin
We acknowledge that man is a sinner by nature, as shown in Scriptures (Ps 51:5; Rom 5:19).
Life of Christ
Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and resurrected on the third day (Matthew 1:18; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
Baptism
Baptism is immersion in water of a person who has believed in Christ for salvation. In it we receive the forgiveness of sins, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and we put on Christ. (Acts 2:38; 8:36-39; Romans 6:1-4; Galatians 3:27)
